Assist. Prof. Dr. Erol ÖZÇELİK won TUBİTAK Research Grant

Assist. Prof. Dr. Erol ÖZÇELİK won a grant from TUBİTAK's Support Programme for Scientific and Technological Projects (1001). The project, in collaboration with Middle East Technical University and Ankara University, has the goal to examine why emotional events enhance memory for preceding neutral stimuli. By using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electrophysiological recording techniques, the study investigates the neural correlates of the effect of emotional events on neutral stimuli.
